The Nerve dropped in on WSTW Delaware for the Hometown Heroes show one Sunday night earlier this year. Host Mark Rogers played two songs from our EP, and we played two more live. In between that (and other great, local music) we tackled such diverse topics as whether or not "Nymphonic" is a word, exactly what "alt-Prague" music is, and name-dropped Burlap and Bean so many times you'd think we held stock in the company.
If you missed it, you can still listen to the show via podcast, courtesy of WSTW. Click over to our "jukebox" window (or click here to open it) and click the "On the radio" line in the player. Inside, the program is broken down into four 1/2 hour segments:
- Segment 1 (9:00 - 9:30 PM): Introductions -- a little group history -- how to pronounce Dave's name -- Is "nymphonic" a word? -- Nymphonic (from the EP) -- "indeed"
- Segment 2 (9:30 - 10:00 PM): First of many plugs for Burlap & Bean and upcoming dates -- praise for the EP -- Invisible (live)
- Segment 3 (10:00 - 10:30 PM): A "heroic" attempt to identify "The Nerve's" genre -- Alt-Prague music -- How to pronounce "Scot" -- Curtain Call (live)
- Segment 4 (10:30 - 11:00 PM): Curtain Call (cont.) -- Emergenza: "a festival, with winners and losers" -- Plug for Burlap & Bean and The Yesterdays (our opening act for 1/25) -- Open mic -- Victim (from the EP) -- Sign-off
