Music has been a lifelong passion for Conshohocken-native Dave, ever since finding a drum kit under the Christmas tree when he was seven. Self-taught, he practiced his craft with local garage bands and school dances until he started playing clubs at 17. He founded the hard-rock group Grand Larceny, and played for a decade with such diverse talents as Springfield (whose bassist, Bennie Sims, is now with Pieces of a dream / Groovemasters , and the Emeril Live TV show), Jimmy Valentine / Egdon Heath, the Jim Femino Band (Jim Femino is a writer for Toby Keith), TBG (managed by Steve Mountain, who also managed Hooters and Tommy Conwell) and Donnie Allen.

Dave counts among his influences Danny Seraphine, John Bonham, Billy Cobham, Phil Collins, Bernard "Pretty" Purdie, Rick Marrotta, Jeff Porcaro, and Sean Kinney.

Most recently, Dave played with the hard rock band Crosseyedmary, and is now putting his formidable energies into his work with The Nerve. Says Dave, “[it’s] a great opportunity for me. This project will allow me to perform and write material with a highly talented group of people. Not only do they rock , but there is a side to The Nerve which touches upon the fusion of jazz and rock which has always been my first love. The best is yet to come with The Nerve!
