After majoring in classical guitar performance (with a minor in piano), Scot honed his skills under the tutelage of Chuck Anderson and Glenn Lyons. Scot also has produced a solo album, Odyssey.

Christine is an expressive, warm and versatile singer. She is also the group’s percussionist.
After high school, Christine studied music in the school of off-beat knocks and smokey bars. After achieving fame and fortune in music, Christine plans to retire to become a sleep clinic tester.
Groups: She’s performed with Horizon, Mad Jazzsters, as well as The Nerve.
Influences: Ani DiFranco, Ella Fitzgerald, Pat Benetar, Sarah McLachlan, Guster and Natalie Merchant. She confesses to a guilty pleasure: REO Speedwagon.

Eric has studied with Chuck Anderson, breifly with John Pattituci, Peter Paulsen, Dr. Larry Nelson, and majored in Music Education as well as Bass Performance at West Chester University (where he was a classmate of Scot’s).

Laying down the jazz trumpet after high school, Jim moved to Nashville where he was immersed in the outlaw and alt-country genres. Though he’s back now into The Nerve’s jazz-influenced groove, Jim is still ready to take lead for any song with the word drinkin’ in the title.

Dave Coccio

Dave Coccio


Music has been a lifelong passion for Conshohocken-native Dave Coccio (pronounced “koh’-chee-oh”), Self-taught from the age of 7, he practiced his craft with local garage bands and school dances until he started playing clubs a decade later.
Groups: He founded the hard-rock group Grand Larceny, Springfield (whose bassist, Bennie Sims, is now with Pieces of a dream / Groovemasters , and the Emeril Live TV show), Jimmy Valentine / Egdon Heath, the Jim Femino Band (Jim Femino is a writer for Toby Keith), TBG (managed by Steve Mountain, who also managed Hooters and Tommy Conwell) and Donnie Allen.

The Nerve began their musical explosion in 2006. They are a unique blend of melodic rock with twists of funk and progressive prowess. Led by prolific and award winning guitarist and singer, Scot Silver, The Nerve have released 2 cds, been featured in 2 compilations, been interviewed and placed in regular rotation on local radio and performed countless concerts to adoring fans.
